The Matian Choir will sing under the baton of Dr Rybarski. Słowianki Dance Ensemble at the Jagiellonian University will give a dance performance. Visualisations of the struggle for independence on a huge screen will transfer us to history. The concert will feature compositions that accompanied the history of Poland throughout the centuries, uplifted the spirit at the moments that have been and still are important for our national identity.
The choir will sing compositions beginning from Bogurodzica, through to Stanisław Moniuszko’s, Wojciecha Kilar’s and Vangelis’s songs. We will also hear the songs of Polish legions’ and army songs in the musical arrangement by Dr Tomasz Chmiel.
A commentary presenting the musical pieces in the historical context will supplement the concert. Invitations to the concert are available on Tuesday and Friday at the seat of the "Mieszany Chór Mariański" Association from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at 37 Misjonarska Street (Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes in Krakow).
