At the turn of August and September, the ICE Kraków Congress Centre will host specialists in the field of materials engineering and biomaterials. The European Society for Biomaterials organises a yearly conference that allows scientists and engineers from various disciplines to discuss current issues concerning the latest research in the field of biomaterials.

The venue of the conference – Krakow, the capital of Polish culture and science – is a bid advantage. The Royal City of Krakow, with its exceptional atmosphere, will provide unforgettable experiences for everyone.

The theme of the conference is: Balancing the needs for basic research and translation in a time of limited resources.

Additionally, during the conference, the speakers will address such issues and problems as: intelligent biomaterials, modification and functionalisation of anti-bacterial surfaces, advanced production, biodetection and engineering of tissues and regenerative medicine, the development of blood vessels and vasculature, stem cells, anti-cancer therapy, bone and cartilage, nerve regeneration, treatment of wounds, clinical trials and commercialisation.
