3rd International Congress on Ethics and Tourism
Poland is hosting the 3rd International Congress on Ethics and Tourism, which will take place on 27-28 April 2017 in the ICE Krakow Congress Centre. The event coincides with the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development.
Over the past fifty years, tourism has become one of the largest and fastest growing sectors of the world economy. At the end of April, the ICE Krakow Congress Centre will bring together an international audience representing international tourism organisations, civil society organisations, as well as academics and media dealing with the issues in this sector.
The upcoming Krakow Congress will debate the global programme on tourism sustainable development, especially in relation to issues of management and social responsibility. There will be presentations of good practice in relation to the public and private sectors, human rights, partnerships and taking into account the voice of civil society.
The 3rd International Congress on Ethics and Tourism is organised by the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) in collaboration with the European Commission and the Polish Government. According to Witold Bańka, the Minister for Sport and Tourism – ‘The fantastic atmosphere of Krakow, one of Europe’s most beautiful places, will certainly help reasoned discussion and help generate positive results from the Congress’.
