A Concert for Seniors
On 6 December, at 12.00 p.m., a Concert for Seniors will take place at the ICE Kraków Congress Centre. The event, organised by Krakow City Hall as part of the PASIOS Municipal Programme of Social Activity and Integration of the Elderly, is intended for all of Krakow’s seniors. This years’ concert will be part of the Finale Gala of the 6th edition of the “Senior-friendly places” campaign, conducted jointly with the voivodeship authorities.
Performing during the concert will be Zofia Kozłowska from the Mieczysław Karłowicz State Music School in Krakow. The talented third-year student of the Second Level Music School from the violin class of Prof. Maciej Chowaniec will be accompanied on the piano by Prof. Anna Kowalczyk. The audience gathered in the Auditorium Hall will also have the opportunity to hear the Jazz Quintet of the Academy of Music in Krakow.
The musical feast will feature the presentation of certificates to senior-friendly locations operating in Krakow. For the sixth time, we will honour local institutions and private entities that respond to the needs of older citizens by adapting their architecture and offering products, services and discounts specifically targeted at this group.
An additional attraction for seniors will be a chance to explore the Congress Centre – in two 20-person groups after the concert.
Free tickets to the concert and gala will be distributed among the participants of activities in the local Senior Activity Centres, Municipal Social Aid Day Homes, the Krakow Centre for Seniors and among the members of the Krakow Seniors Council. The tickets will also be available at selected City Information Points, at Powiśle 11 and at the Wyspiański Pawilion, Plac Wszystkich Świętych 2, which are open from 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m.
