Ben McKelvey will perform before Mike + The Mechanics on 3rd September in the ICE Krakow Congress Centre.
Ben McKelvey is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist brought up in West London on the music of such artists as Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Paul Weller.
On disbanding his first pop-punk band the Fluid Lines in 2011, Ben decided to continue with a solo musical career. His debut single A hundred thousand welcomes was released in October 2013 and his debut solo album Love & live in England was released in February 2016.
McKelvey plays more than 50 concerts each year and has accompanied such artists as: The Janoskians, Wet Wet Wet and The Overtones. In March this year, after completing a series of 32 concerts which supported Mike and the Mechanics in such cult venues as the Brighton Dome or The Royal Albert Hall, he released his latest single: One For The Road.
Mike + The Mechanics have sold more than 10 million records across the world and have recorded hits such as Silent Running, All I Need Is A Miracle, Word Of Mouth, Another Cup of Coffee, and of course the unforgettable Over My Shoulder. And these are just a few of the hits of Mike + The Mechanics.
They are to play in Poland as part of concert tour promoting their latest album, released just three weeks ago. Work on the album Let Me Fly started during the 2011 concert tour promoting The Road, which was the first album recorded in the band’s current configuration: Mike Rutherford (guitar/bass), Luke Juby (keyboards), Gary Wallis (percussion), Anthony Drennan (guitar) other vocalists: Andrew Roachford and Tim Howar.
