Construction work progress at the ICE Kraków Congress Centre, as of 30th April 2014

In April, at the ICE Kraków Congress Centre construction site, work was underway in the backroom facilities segment. Works on the power supply (lighting), sanitary and weak-current systems were nearing completion. Flooring was laid on all levels, wall tiles were laid and electroacoustic systems were installed in halls S3 and S4. Work on the sound-proof wall and ceiling cladding in both above-mentioned halls began. In the Auditorium Hall segment, work on the secondary audience and finishing work were completed, work on power and weak-current installation and stage machinery (upper and lower) continued. Laying the acoustic ceiling was underway, the raised floor began to be laid and work on electroacoustic systems continued. Work on hydrant and sprinkler installations also progressed. Plastering work was completed in the large hall segment, whilst work on power and weak-current installations continued. Work on wall and ceiling sound insulation was underway (ceiling in the last phase, about to be completed), along with the execution of electroacoustic systems.
In the Foyer segment, work on hydrant, ventilation, air-conditioning, power and weak-current systems was underway. The roof covering (Kalzip) was completed – though no rounding yet (joining the roof with the façade, still in progress). The laying of screed floors began, along with the construction of drywalls and suspended ceilings, as well as the fitting of glass partitions. Work on power installation (lighting) continued on the underground levels (garages). Weak-current installations, water and sewage, hydrant, cooling, sprinkler, ventilation and air conditioning systems were completed, as well as the plastering of the diaphragm wall. Installing and fitting heat exchanger and transformer stations continued.
The ceramic, ventilated part of the building façade was finished. Structures for the glass façade were completed and work on this part of the façade commenced (starting from its southern part – adjoining the main entrance to the building). Lifts were being installed throughout the entire facility (this work is well-advanced). Door-frame woodwork construction began. The retaining wall situated in the north-western part of the building was built. Sewage, sanitary, rainwater, sprinkler, district heating and process heat systems, cooling, ventilation and air-conditioning, fire ventilation were also completed with the exception of the assembling fixtures, fittings and system controls. Work on the building management system (BMS) continued.
