ENCORE KRYNICA – Grażyna Brodzińska and her guests
It is our great pleasure to invite you to a unique concert, which had its premiere last year during the Jan Kiepura European Festival in Krynica Zdrój. The concert will feature the unquestionable and magnificent star of Polish music, Grażyna Brodzińska, with her extraordinary power of expression and charming personality. She will be accompanied by talented artists representing various genres and art styles, including an outstanding musical artist - Janusz Kruciński, and Marcin Jajkiewicz, referred to by some as Poland’s Frank Sinatra.
The music will be provided by a 35-member CREO orchestra conducted by Mateusz Walach, and also by Wiesław Prządka - master of accordion and bandoneon. The evening will be filled with melodies of the greatest hits of classical music (operetta, opera, Neapolitan songs), musical pieces and favourite songs from the world wide repertoire! The dance performance by internationally acclaimed dancers - Anna Głogowska, Jan Kliment and Tomasz Barański - will add to the glamour of the event. The concert will be hosted by Dariusz Stańczuk, a journalist and RMF Classic radio presenter.
The audience will listen to world-famous masterpieces, such as, the charismatic csárdás of the Venus in Silk operetta, and universally-loved arias: As a lively spirit from the Gypsy Baron, The Merry Widow Waltz and a rather untypical O Sole Mio. There are also Latino rhythms which add to the dynamic character of the concert – Besame Mucho, La Bella Tangolita and Aquarela do Brasil. Romantic hearts will melt listening to such emotional hits as This Is The Moment, Moon River or Can You Feel The Love Tonight.

Grażyna Brodzińska (soprano – classical) – The First Lady of the Polish Music Stage. She is the queen of the stage and touches the hearts of audiences across the world. She is perfection embodied. Her vocal art exemplifies the highest virtuosity. Her repertoire comprises classical masterpieces, musical and world-famous hits of various musical genres. Some of the pieces in her repertoire have been written specially for her. She can enchant audiences with her magnificent voice, elegant manners and lively disposition. Her concerts are invariably sold-out and so it is almost impossible to buy tickets for her performance – these facts best speak for themselves and describe in brief the artist.
Bogusław Kaczyński once said about her: ‘Her appearance on the stage always elicits a shiver of emotions which is then followed by a thunderous applause. She can stir emotions and entertain like no one else. She can charm her audience with the contemporary character of her interpretations and theatrical simplicity. But when needed, she can captivate spectators with a pathos appropriate to the genre. What is more, she wears her wonderful dresses on stage with the mastery and perfection deserving of the best.’
Janusz Kruciński (musical) – actor, singer, song writer. He performs in musical theatres in Chorzów, Gdynia, Szczecin and Warsaw, where he has starred in many of the most acclaimed musicals. His roles include: Che in Evita, Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, Roger in Rent, Chris in Miss Saigon, Jean Valjean in Les Misérables and many others. His professional on-stage peregrinations have led to collaborations with many distinguished Polish musicians and artists, including: Grażyna Brodzińska, Katarzyna Gärtner, Bartłomiej Gliniak, Zygmunt Konieczny, Włodzimierz Korcz or Piotr Rubik.
Marcin Jajkiewicz (entertainment/jazz) – jazz singer and entertainer is considered by many to be a Polish Frank Sinatra. He is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. He has taken part in several entertainment and talent shows, such as Szansa na sukces (A Chance for Success) or Idol. He is a laureate of the ‘Festiwal Jedynki’ (TVP 1 Festival) in Sopot and a singer in Marcin Wyrodek’s Tango Corazon Quintet. He is also a guest star of a popular TV show Jaka to Melodia (Name that Tune). In 2012 he was invited to collaborate with Grażyna Brodzińska, and they have been performing in theatres and philharmonic halls in different towns across Poland ever since.
Wiesław Prządka (accordion /bandoneon) – an excellent Polish accordion and bandoneon player. He is the only musician in Poland to have mastered the complex art of playing the diatonic button bandoneon (which produces different notes depending on whether the bellows are pressed (closed) or drawn (opened)). He is a laureate of the 1st Award at the International Chamber Music Ensembles Competition in Paris. He was a member of the Poznan Accordion Quintet for many years. Wiesław Prządka demonstrates that accordion music can work perfectly well in such musical genres as jazz, swing or Latino. His concerts in music clubs, concert halls and philharmonic halls are always very successful. He has performed on a number of European stages, as well as in the United States. His concerts have been recorded for radio and television. He is in love with French music and the Argentinian tango.
The CREO Orchestra (Cracow Event Orchestra) conducted by Mateusz Walach was founded in 2008. It is made up of young talented musicians, graduates of the best music schools in the Malopołska and Silesia regions. Their passion, talent and exceptional enthusiasm translate into a new, classical but yet fresh and unique sound of each piece they play. The orchestra sounds great both in classical and more contemporary and popular repertoires.
