Golden voices of opera – Ramón Vargas
One of the leading tenors of our times, Ramón Vargas, the star of the Metropolitan Opera, will appear with a vocal recital on Sunday, 13.03.2016 at 6 PM at the ICE Kraków Congress Centre as part of the Golden Voices of Opera cycle.
Vargas is one of the most acclaimed tenors in the world, possessing a lyrical voice with a beautiful timbre. During his vocal performances, he fascinates the listeners with emotions, passion and magical energy. His recitals always receive standing ovations. He has appeared on the stages of opera theatres without interruption since the 1990s, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York (debut in 1992, when he was a substitute for Luciano Pavarotti), La Scala in Milan (debut in 1993), Wiener Staatsopera, London Royal Opera Hour, Opera Bastille in Paris, Arena di Verona and Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. The artist has won numerous prestigious singing competitions and awards for his artistic work, but it is worth noting that Ramón Vargas is a singer who tremendously respects his audience, an artist who always finds time for his fans – he is also a modest man.
The Krakow recital will comprise the most beautiful arias illustrating the vocal perfection and outstanding opera roles of the artist. Ramón Vargas will be accompanied by excellent Georgian pianist Mzia Bakhtouridze, who has been working at the La Scala in Milan for many years.
Join us for this exceptional evening!
