ICE Krakow at Architecture Week
The currently constructed ICE Krakow Congress Centre is taking part in the prestigious international Architecture Week 2011 festival in Prague. The ICE will be the central element of Krakow's presentation on the most interesting, most original and most awarded new city buildings, to be delivered in the capital of the Czech Republic by members of the Krakow branch of the Polish Architects' Association.
The festival, which has become an essential element of the European calendar of architectural events, started in the capital of the Czech Republic today and will last for two weeks. The programme includes hundreds of lectures, as well as meetings, conferences, film screenings and exhibitions.
The ICE Congress Centre will be commissioned in the first quarter of 2015. The usable area will be over 37,000 square metres, including an auditorium hall for with 2,000 seats in a conference configuration, a large hall with 600 seats at the audience, a small/multifunctional room with 300 seats, a complex of conference rooms of approximately 500 square metres, a multifunctional exhibition room of approximately 400 square metres, an underground car park for approximately 350 vehicles, and a foyer-related complex containing a warehouse, technical, sanitary, gastronomic and commercial rooms.
The Centre is being intensively promoted at the leading business tourism fairs in Europe, including London, Brussels, Frankfurt and Barcelona, as well during foreign presentations, for example in Paris. Contacts made with sector professionals and discussions at fairs so far suggest that the venue will enjoy great interest. Currently, advanced talks with three major clients regarding the year 2015 are under way (meetings for 1,000+ persons). Various other sectors are displaying interest in the centre too, including the medical industry.
