ICE Kraków summarises three quarters of its activity

Business, corporate, cultural and social events. Radio recordings, TV productions and live broadcasts. International, nationwide and local events. 161,000 visitors and 132 events – the ICE Kraków Congress Centre summarises three quarters of its activity.

The official inauguration of the activity of the ICE Kraków Congress Centre (ICE – International Conferences & Entertainment) took place on the 16th of October 2014. During the three quarters of functioning, the team responsible for the sale of spaces in the ICE, which is operated by the Krakow Festival Office, and specialists responsible for the production of events had their hands full – the Centre was visited by over 161,000 persons during 132 events.

“It's been already over 9 months since the Congress Centre was opened. The numbers that describe our activities make us very happy! The greatest source of pleasure, however, is favourable opinions of customers, partners and guests visiting the Centre,” says Izabela Helbin, the Director of the Krakow Festival Office. “Each event consists of many stages: conceptual works, assembly works, the event and disassembly works, so it is worth remembering that the employees of the ICE Kraków are almost always present in the building – and this commitment pays off. We are going to carry out further projects soon, and we have already started preparing for them,” assures Helbin.

During the last quarter, international events for thousands of guests were organised in the ICE Kraków. One of the most important events was the ISF World Seed Congress for over 1,500 participants from around the world. This event has already been held in India, Germany, Chile, Denmark, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Turkey and Canada. Thanks to the efforts of Polish members of the ISF and representatives of the Krakow meetings industry and the Krakow Convention Bureau, this huge international event took place in Poland.

At the beginning of May, the Congress Centre became a platform for the exchange of opinions and a place of meetings of local government leaders with representatives of state administration, non-governmental organisations and the business world. The European Congress of Local Governments attracted over 800 guests from almost all European countries. The honorary guest of the event was the President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski.

Over 1,000 participants, 200 managers and representatives of managing staff, 90 speakers and panelists and one main guest: Tony Blair.
