MIRCIM at the ICE Kraków!
MIRCIM is a training course dedicated to internal diseases, organised by McMaster University (Canada), which is the cradle of evidence-based medicine (EBM) and problem-based learning (PBL), and the Polish Institute of Evidence Base Medicine and Medycyna Praktyczna, in cooperation with the Jagiellonian University, the Polish Society of Internal Medicine and more than 20 foreign internal medicine associations, under the auspices of the International Society of Internal Medicine and the European Federation of Internal Medicine.
The lectures will be presented by 30 eminent experts of worldwide renown, authors of clinical practice guidelines and ground-breaking research, shaping modern medicine. They will present the latest, reliable and relevant information for everyday practice, which will be used by doctors of various specialities – internists, specialists from various fields of internal medicine, hospital doctors, GPs and young doctors-in-training. All lectures and discussions will be simultaneously translated from English into Polish.
The lectures will take place on the 11th and 12th of May. On the 10th of May, the first day of the course, numerous workshops and a conference “Clinical cases in internal medicine: learning through practice” will take place, during which doctors from different countries will present the most interesting clinical cases submitted to the “Best Case Report Contest”, and invited experts will comment on them.
In 2017, MIRCIM attracted over 900 participants from 36 countries. The course was held in a very high regard – the participants expressed their appreciation for the choice of topics, the level of lectures and accompanying events.
