Seven days, seven concerts and a constellation of early music stars. This year’s edition of the festival will be a presentation of the heritage of European music from the Middle Ages till Classicism. The audience of Krakow will have an opportunity to see once more the outstanding musicians whom they particularly adore: Jordi Savall and Ottavio Dantone. Apart from them, Christopher Rousset and René Jacobs will perform in Krakow again. The musicians who will perform with their ensembles at the festival for the first time will be Diego Fasolis, Alessandro de Marchi and Paul van Nevel. All of this will happen in the atmosphere of Holy Week. Below you can find information about the unique and sophisticated repertoire of the 12th edition of the festival, which will begin on the 30th of March and will last till the 5th of April. ‘The main axis of this year’s Misteria Paschalia Festival will be the presentation of three oratorios by Niccolo Jommelli (Isacco, figura del Redentore), Bernard Pasquini (La sete di Cristo) and George Frideric Handel (Jephtha) and two Passions based on the Gospel of John composed by Ciprian de Rore and Johann Sebastian Bach.The programme will be supplemented by the presentation of 14th-century works included in the‘Red Book of Montserrat’ and Françoise Couperin’s mystic cycle Leçons de ténèbres[Lessons In The Dark].We offer you seven exceptional concerts – seven evenings that you will remember for a long time.Only at Misteria Paschalia.Only in Krakow.‘We invite you to join us,’ says Filip Berkowicz, Artistic Director of the Misteria Paschalia Festival. 

In co-operation with the Polish Radio 2, which is the co-organiser of the festival, we invite you to see concerts in unique locations – the interiors that are familiar to the festival’s audience, such as St. Catherine’s Church or St. Kinga’s Chapel in the Wieliczka Salt Mine, but also– for the first time in the history of the festival – the ICE Krakow Congress Centre. 

ATTENTION: Tickets and festival passes to Misteria Paschalia concerts will be available from the 4th of February this year via www.eventim.pland at four InfoKraków city information points: at ul. św. Jana 2, at the Wyspiański Pavilion (Pl. Wszystkich Świętych 2), in Sukiennice (Rynek Główny 1/3) and in the Tourist Services Centre (ul. Powiśle 11). The festival pass encompassing the entrance to all concerts of the festival costs PLN 500 (reduced-price pass) and PLN 650 (full-price pass) and tickets to individual concerts cost from PLN 40 to PLN 120 (reduced-price tickets) and from PLN 60 to PLN 160 (full-price tickets).
