MPI EMEC 2015 at ICE Krakow
“We are proud to inform you that the MPI European Meetings and Events Conference 2015 will be held in Krakow in the currently built ICE Krakow Congress Centre. The offer has been prepared in collaboration with the Poland Convention Bureau - Polish Tourist Organisation, the Krakow Convention Bureau, the MPI Poland Club and the ICE Krakow Congress Centre. It is a great honour for us and an excellent opportunity to present ourselves on the meetings industry market. I am convinced that both the organisers and the participants of the event will love our city, and that our state-of-the-art venue, that is ICE Krakow, will meet all their expectations” says Izabela Helbin, Director of the Krakow Festival Office, which is the operator of the ICE Krakow Congress Centre.
The EMEC is an annual meeting organised by the MPI Association, gathering 24,000 planners and organisers of business meetings and events from 86 countries around the world. Previous conferences have been held in many European cities, and in 2012 it was organised for the first time in Central Europe, in Budapest. Each time, the conference was attended by 400 representatives of the meetings industry. It is a great opportunity for Poland to win some business contacts, which may bring notable benefits to our country in the future. Apart from its educational value, the EMEC aims at building a strong brand of a host country in the international arena.
The MPI focuses on a strong promotion of each host country, which in this case will include the promotion of Poland during the most important industry fairs preceding the EMEC 2015 that is IMEX in Frankfurt, IMEX America in Las Vegas, and EIBTM in Barcelona, as well as during the annual MPI World Education Congress. Another benefit for Poland will be its presence in the social media of the Association, and Poland’s promotional clips on MPI YouTube Channel.
The conference, which will be one of the most prestigious events of 2015 in Poland, is supported by: the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the Physical Education, Sport and Tourism Committee of the Polish Sejm, the City of Krakow, and the Polish Tourist Organisation.
“I am very pleased that Poland will host the MPI EMEC 2015. It will be a great opportunity for Poland to show the meetings industry market that our country in ready to host this prestigious event and that it will deal with its organisation with flying colours” says Krzysztof Celuch, Head of PCB POT
