ROUTES EUROPE 2016 in Kraków!
The 11th Routes Europe – Europe’s largest conference addressed to the air transport market, will be held in Krakow on 24th-26th April 2016. Thanks to the efforts of the John Paul II International Airport Krakow - Balice, the City of Krakow and the Malopolska Region, conference organisers decided to choose Krakow to be the host city. The ICE Kraków Congress Centre will be the venue for the main conference debates.
The ICE Kraków Congrees Centre will host main conference debates. Visits of the organiser’s representatives to the newly built facility and the Centre’s professional offer have been crucial for the choice of Krakow as the host of the conference in 2016 conference – says Izabela Helbin, Director of the Krakow Festival Office, the ICE Kraków operator. Out of 70 days of the Centre’s operation in this year, 60 have already been booked. 170 days in 2015 have been also booked. The interest in booking the ICE Kraków for such distant dates as April 2016, when Routes Europe will be held, best proves that this facility will serve the city for many years as a perfect destination for business tourism.
Routes Europe brings together numerous airlines, airports and tourism authorities, including budget and national carriers from across the region. Participation in the conference offers the opportunity to meet with the most influential professionals from the global aviation industry.

It was attended by over 1,200 participants, 120 airlines and 380 airports, which means an attendance increase by 16% compared to the previous year and offers good prospects for the future. More than 4,000 individual meetings between participants were held during the conference, which will surely result in further development of the industry in Europe.

The event can greatly contribute the development of the network of air connections from and to Krakow, being a priority issue, in the context of the current development of local infrastructure.
We are thrilled to be taking Routes Europe to Krakow and returning to Poland in 2016 – comments Ged Brown, Head of Future Events, Routes for UBM Live. – Krakow Airport's route network has seen year on year growth with both direct and connecting routes and in 2015 the airport will undergo a restructure which will increase capacity to 8 million annual passengers. Routes Europe 2016 will provide an opportunity to showcase this to the Routes community. Delegates will also experience Krakow and the many historic and cultural attractions it has to offer. Krakow Airport has attended Routes events for many years and we now look forward to working even more closely with their team to deliver Routes Europe in 2016, adds Ged Brown.
