Sukhishvili – Georgian National Ballet at ICE Kraków
On the 18th of February, we will see the unique Sukhishvili dance show, performed by the Georgian National Ballet at the ICE Kraków Congress Centre. The performance, which was called “the best show on Broadway”, features more than 100 dances and an orchestra on stage at their best.
The Sukhishvili Georgian National Ballet was founded 70 years ago and is based on traditional national dancers and consists of more than 100 dancers and its own orchestra. Over the years, it has gone on 250 tours. The ensemble members have toured five continents over a dozen times, giving 12,500 concerts that were seen by more than 10 million viewers total.
The performance has been called “the best show on Broadway”, while in Australia, it was hailed as the “eighth wonder of the world”. After the concert on the most famous stage at La Scala, the curtain was raised 14 times, beating Caruso’s record of 11 times.
Despite the long history of the Georgian National Ballet, its shows feature completely new arrangements, which are an excellent combination of charming folk and modern steps. It all makes the show even more spectacular.
Elements of martial arts and acrobatics, fabulously colourful costumes and a dynamic story told with incredible passion make Sukhishvili the perfect show for the show family, entertaining and shocking both children and seniors.
