THE DIRECTOR OF THE KRAKOW FESTIVAL OFFICE IN THE JURY OF EFFIE AWARDS
Effie® Awards is an internationally recognised competition that determines the trends of effective marketing communication. One of the members of the jury of this year's competition will be Izabela Helbin – Director of the Krakow Festival Office, who will evaluate applications submitted in the following categories: Social Education and CRS Companies, Pro Bono, Promotion of Places and Media, Culture & Entertainment.
Izabela Helbin, who has been the director of the Krakow Festival Office since 2011, implements successfully the strategy of development of the Cultural Institution that has determined standards of organisation, production and fulfilment of the biggest and most prestigious cultural and social events in Poland for 17 years. Organisational efficiency, the ability to build festival brands on an international scale from scratch and the entire scope of the KFO’s activity (Krakow Film Commission, co-ordination of the Kraków – UNESCO City of Literature project, cultural operator of the biggest exhibition & sports hall in Poland – TAURON Arena Kraków, operator and administrator of the ICE Kraków Congress Centre) testify to the strength and prestige of the institution managed by Izabela Helbin.
The jury of the Polish edition of Effie® Awards consists of best specialists, practitioners, experts and authorities from the marketing industry in its broad sense. The choice of jury members makes it possible to evaluate communication activities comprehensively from many perspectives, which results in an award for the most effective campaign. This year, the jury responsible for the evaluation of applications in the following categories: Social Education and CSR Campaigns, Pro Bono, Promotion of Places and Media, Culture & Entertainment will consist of representatives of the following companies and institutions: 180HEARTBEATS + JUNG V. Effie® Awards – an international marketing competition that was held for the first time in New York in 1968. It was originated by the American Marketing Association. The licence to run the competition in Poland has been held by the SAR Marketing Communication Association since 1999. Currently Poland is one of the 40 countries where the competition is organised.
Izabela Helbin, Director of the Krakow Festival Office – She graduated from the University of Economics in Krakow (in Management and Marketing – specialization in Company Management), the Institute of Journalism of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Journalism and Social Communication) and the John Paul II Papal University in Krakow (European Studies). Culture manager, producer, co-producer and coordinator of many international cultural and TV projects. Since the 1st of January 2011, she has been Director of the Krakow Festival Office. Previously she held the functions of Deputy Director for Marketing, Krakow Promotion Director and the Head of the Mayor of the City of Krakow’s press office. Responsible for projects which received the Silver KTR Award in 2008 and Golden Eagles in 2007. In her capacity as Director of the Krakow Festival Office, she organises Krakow’s prestigious cultural events. She is responsible for rebranding and co-creating such projects as Misteria Paschalia, Sacrum Profanum, Grolsch ArtBoom Festival, Film Music Festival in Krakow, Miłosz Festival, Conrad Festival and many other events. She can boast the Office’s consistency in its high quality of operations, which is confirmed by numerous awards for its festivals, individual events, innovative campaigns and publications. The Krakow Festival Office’s projects have won the recognition of organisers of the following events: IFEA Pinnacle Awards, European Design Awards, Golden Formats, Golden Eagles or Mobile Trends Awards and other events. She pays special attention to events addressed to children, senior citizens and excluded groups, as well as to institutional cooperation with municipal entities, private businesses and NGOs. Among major projects of key importance for the city that are coordinated by the Krakow Festival Office, she mentions the Krakow Film Commission, the programme of cultural events at the Krakow Arena and the overall management of the ICE Kraków Congress Centre. Thanks to the consistent implementation of modern management models, the development of the Office’s activities has recently brought literary programmes and festivals which have greatly contributed to Krakow’s success in being awarded the title of UNESCO City of Literature.
The operator of the ICE Kraków Congress Centre is the Krakow Festival Office, the director of which is Izabela Helbin.
