THE INCREDIBLE MOSCOW CITY BALLET IS BACK IN KRAKOW
An extraordinary combination of moving stories, music and dance – on the 17th of February at ICE Kraków. The spectacle based on one of Shakespeare’s greatest work – Romeo and Juliet – will enchant and transport us to the musical world of love and dreams.
The MOSCOW CITY BALLET, founded by the eminent choreographer Victor Smirnov-Golovanov, will visit us in the month of lovers to perform the most romantic spectacle of all time. The classic dance ensemble, critically acclaimed worldwide, will transport you to a land of beauty and love unconquered even by death.
Romeo and Juliet is the timeless story of the love of young and beautiful lovers – members of two feuding families: the Capulets and the Montagues. The loves do everything to be together, no matter the odds against them and the family conflicts. Viewers will be able to see an incredible interpretation of Shakespeare’s drama in a ballet version accompanied by beautiful music. The breath-taking choreography allows for the expression and experience of love and death, hatred and forgiveness. The dancers’ every move and gesture is perfectly practiced, which invariably arouses the admiration of the audience.
Performances of the Moscow City Ballet are characterised by dazzling costumes, impressive choreography, the magic of lights and captivating set design. According to the critics, it is impossible to resist the charm of the ensemble or to forget about it: “They create art so great that it is an experience even for those who do not like dance”.
