THE ORCHESTRA starring ELO former members
THE ORCHESTRA starring ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA former members – one of the forerunners of the synthesis of rock and classical music - on a tour on the occasion of over 40 years of great music. The concert in the ICE Kraków Congress Centre will take place on the 13th of November.
The Electric Light Orchestra is considered to be one of the most creative and original bands of the 1970s and 1980s. For over four decades, their songs have fascinated listeners with a perfect combination of symphonic sounds and rock power. ELO’s music is timeless and intergenerational – it has huge masses of fans around the world!
During its concert tour in Poland THE ORCHESTRA will play ELO’s greatest hits, such as Don’t Bring Me Down, Xanadu, Do Ya, Evil Woman, Mr. Blue Sky and many others.
The line-up of ELO changed many times between 1971 and 1986. ELO Part II carried on from 1990 to 2000. In 2000, the name of the band changed from ELO Part II to THE ORCHESTRA. The line-up includes original former members of ELO from the 1970s and 1980’s Mik Kaminski and Louis Clark as well as Eric Troyer, Parthenon Huxley and Gordon Townsend formerly of ELO Part II. In this line-up, the band will visit Poland as THE ORCHESTRA starring ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA former members to play ELO’s most famous songs! The band’s line-up is supplemented by the bassist Glen Burtnik who replaced Kelly Groucutt after the latter's death at the beginning of 2009. This will be an extraordinary tour, which celebrates over 40 years of the music of the Electric Light Orchestra.
